Ordinary World

Josh wakes up. It's two in the morning. He cant stop thinking about life and the things that are gonna happen to him. He doesnt want time to move because he knows in three more hours its running the routes again. Who the freak reads the newspaper anyways is his constant thought. He hates life. Everything about it. And he knows that the second his routes are done he has fifteen minutes for breakfast till his next shift, which is 7 hours standing on the corner of Missouri's hometown coffe shop throwing the sign back and forth. What could be worse? A lot of things but in his situation, nothing.. Cars stop and go giving him there slightest attention and for all he knows their gonna go out of business in two months.

His shift is almost up. Ten more minutes and he can leave. A black truck pulls up along side. Windows tinted so dark you couldnt make out the shadow of someone in the passenger seat. The window begins to slide and suddenly stops. There is a two inch gap between the top of the window and the car door. The light is green but the car continues to stay in the same position. A paper is thrown out the window and the gust of wind carries it eventually making it to his feet. Exhausted but curious he leans down to pick up the folded piece of paper. He begins to take it apart as the truck speeds off. He opens it up to find a target. He doesnt know the truth. He doesnt know that he is being targeted. As he looks up he doesnt have time to think. The bullett has already pierced his skull. Paramedics rush to the scene trying to save him. Its too late. Many will ask why and none will have the answer. No one understood the reason. It was his call to adventure. And when he wakes up... his life will be forever changed.
